Approach

A disciplined path from workflow friction to governed AI-enabled execution.

The method is simple and effective: Audit existing workflows, identify opportunities to redesign or add new capabilities, run a single pilot, then scale it in production. Repeat for adjacent workflows.

A five-phase Stratimetrix approach diagram showing AI Opportunity Audit flowing into either Workflow Redesign Sprint or New Capability Design Sprint, then into Pilot Delivery and Support, then Production Rollout and Support, before cycling back into the next audit.

A safe, iterative process to transform your organisation.

The most effective AI projects start with examining value chains and workflows.

Most value chains were designed in the pre-AI era. They were constrained by human capabilities and throughput. With AI on the team, whole value chains can be re-invented. This can lead to new products, new markets and increased capabilities.

The workflows within those value chains were built for humans to execute, and while using tools to make them run better is a step in the right direction, more value can often be obtained by redesigning them to be executed by AI with human oversight.

Our projects usually start with an AI Opportunity Audit - a brief deep dive into your value streams and workflows to identify where AI has the potential to transform. Recommendations are categorised into workflow redesign or new capability opportunities and prioritised in terms of impact.

The highest value opportunity is chosen, resulting in either a Workflow Redesign Sprint or a New Capability Design Sprint. In both cases, we work with you and your team to design a solution.

This is followed by a pilot that runs safely alongside your existing workflows, shadowing them rather than replacing them. The solution is adapted until it significantly outperforms the status quo. We can deliver the pilot directly or work more on an advisory basis, supporting your internal change team. The solution is then carefully rolled out into production.

Optionally, this process starts again to transform adjacent workflows. This iterative approach is both safe and pragmatic.

Phase 1

AI Opportunity Audit

A focused deep dive into value chains and workflows to identify where AI can create the greatest commercial and operational impact.

  • Review value streams, handoffs, bottlenecks, and coordination drag
  • Identify both workflow redesign and new capability opportunities
  • Prioritise opportunities by likely impact, practicality, and risk

Phase 2A

Workflow Redesign Sprint

Redesign an existing workflow so AI can take on more of the execution, with people focused on oversight, judgement, and exceptions.

  • Map how the workflow should operate with AI in the loop
  • Define where human review, escalation, and control should sit
  • Create a practical design that can be piloted safely

Phase 2B

New Capability Design Sprint

Design a new AI-enabled capability that extends what the business can offer, produce, or deliver.

  • Shape the capability around a clear business outcome or opportunity
  • Define how it fits into the current operating model and team
  • Turn the concept into a solution design ready for piloting

Phase 3

Pilot Delivery / Support

Run a controlled pilot alongside existing operations so the new workflow or capability can prove itself safely.

  • Shadow the current way of working before replacing it
  • Adapt until the pilot materially outperforms the status quo
  • Support delivery directly or advise your internal change team

Phase 4

Production Rollout and Support

Roll the proven solution into production carefully, with the right controls, support, and operating ownership in place.

  • Move from pilot to live use without disrupting core operations
  • Embed governance, monitoring, and internal ownership
  • Use the learning to identify the next adjacent workflow to transform
